This Privacy Policy explains how PAULGA ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use PAULGA Studio (the desktop app and this website). We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the service.
Information we collect
- Account — your name and email address, provided when you sign in (for example with Google or Apple).
- Usage & billing — app version, and metered usage such as credits spent and Workshare storage used, so we can apply your plan.
- Support & guide — questions you send to the guide chat on this website, with an anonymous session id to group a conversation.
- Payment — USD payments are processed by our merchant of record, and we receive confirmation of your subscription. KRW payments are covered under "KRW payments" below. We never receive or store your full card number or bank details.
Your design files and models are yours. Models and files you upload to Workshare, images and videos you generate, and posts you publish in the community are stored on our servers so we can provide those features. Files you keep only in your own design software stay on your computer.
KRW payments
When you buy the 1-month pass in KRW (Korean won), the payment window sends your name, mobile number, email and payment details (such as your card) directly to our payment processors, PortOne (payment integration) and KG Inicis (card and easy-pay processing, cancellations and refunds). PAULGA does not receive your card number and does not store your mobile number. We keep the order number, product, amount, payment and cancellation times, payment method type, card issuer with a masked card number, transaction id and receipt link, to process and confirm the payment, apply the pass, handle cancellations, refunds, questions and disputes, and keep the records the law requires.
How we use it
- To provide, maintain, and secure the service and your account.
- To meter usage and manage subscriptions, credits and storage.
- To answer support requests and improve the product.
Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
We process personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), on the basis of our legitimate interests (security, improvement, preventing abuse), and with your consent where required. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — our merchant of record for USD payments, PortOne and KG Inicis for KRW payments, infrastructure and hosting providers, and AI model providers (such as Google and OpenAI for images, and video-generation providers) that process the prompts and images you send when you ask for a generation — under terms that limit their use to providing those services. The agent runs on OpenAI Codex under your own ChatGPT account, so what you send it is governed by your agreement with OpenAI.
International transfers
PAULGA is based in the Republic of Korea. If you use the service from another country, your data may be transferred to and processed in Korea and by our processors, with appropriate safeguards.
Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it, except where we must retain records to meet legal obligations. Under Korea's Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, we keep records of contracts and order withdrawals for 5 years, records of payments and supply for 5 years, and records of consumer complaints and disputes for 3 years.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, email support@paulga.com.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
